Day 1:
Morning: A touch
of natural beauty
06.00: Depart from Bangkok for Kanchanaburi by AC Van.
08.30: Arrive
Kanchanaburi and proceed to Erawan waterfalls. En route, be
fascinated with a scenic view
of the tropical forest with its limestone mountains over the
horizon almost all the way.
09.30: Upon arrival,
appreciate its natural beauty, enjoy swimming and relaxing in the
chemical-free and emerald-coloured ponds. Have a nice walk along
the nature trails nearby.
12.00: Lunch at a
local restaurant and depart for elephant riding and bamboo
rafting.

Soft adventures
14.00: Have a wonderful time with elephant riding and bamboo
rafting.
15.40: Take one
of the world’s greatest rail journeys at Wang Po station along
the Death Railway. Be
impressed with the most breathtaking scenery of the river while
passing along Tham Krasae
Cave.

16.40: Arrive Tha Kilen station,
pick up by A/C van to Kanchanaburi town.
Evening: Cruising through River Kwai-Mae Klong (overnight
stay aboard)
An unforgettable evening and nighttime amidst the
fascinating River Kwae and Mae Klong scenery.
17.15: Leisurely
cruise down the River Kwai from the Supreme Abbot Bridge across
the river. Pleasant sights of
both banks dotted with typically colourful rafthouses and the
scenic river with its
breathtaking limestone backdrop over the skyline. Spot local
activities on your way to Mae
Klong, the blessing river of those living in the central and
western parts of Thailand.
En route, a scene of locals sailing their boats and trying to
put fishing traps into the water charms the river. Be impressed
by the carpets of majestic lotus spreading over vast areas by
the riverbanks. Sip a drink on the sun deck of your cruise
rafthouse and savor the panorama of the great river at dusk. See
the famous couple of the Thai and the Chinese Buddhist temples
atop the hill and a typical Thai temple fair, while cruising
closer to Wachilalongkorn Dam on the river stretch.

atmosphere with ultimate privacy.

Day 2:
Morning: Cruising through Mae Klong - River Kwai, City
Highlights:
06.30: Enjoy the
magnificient sight of a sunrise over the awakening river.
07.30: Morning at leisure or
enjoy sun bathing aboard while start cruising back. En route
enjoy an American breakfast (at
approx. 08.00).
Feel the difference
between daytime and nighttime
cruising on your way from one to the other great river. Stop
over at the Buddhist temples
of Tham Sua (Thai temple) and Tham Khao Noi (Chinese temple)
on the slopes over the riverbanks.
Take a nice walk along an approximate 800 metres long route
cutting through a local village and
its fruit orchards. Observe the local village life. Take a cable
cars, or walk if prefered, up to the
the top of the Thai pagoda which provides
a fascinating view of a vast rice farming area of the Mae
Klong basin. Walk down (or
descend by cable car if you wish so) and then return to the
rafthouse. Continue cruising
further down to the River Kwai. Near the river confluence, drop
by at the most respected
temple’s JEATH War Museum. It comprehensively exhibits the
province's history during WW II in the province through a
variety of items and pictures.
12.00: Once you have finished your visit, pick up by A/C van to
enjoy Thai lunch at a rafting restaurant by the river.
Afternoon: City highlights
13.00: The whole afternoon is dedicated to the
WW II memorials. A visit to the country’s most infamous
and biggest war cemetery which 'houses' thousands of
late allied prisoners from the
WW II period is followed by a visit to the infamous
Bridge over the River Kwai. Once you
are here, pray for them all. Then take a walk across the
bridge and it's time for pictures. |

15.00: Return to BKK.
17.00: Upon arrival
transfer to hotel. |
